Walking into my classroom is like traveling the world. Languages from East Africa, Southeast Asia and Central America are interwoven with English. Students are regularly laughing as they realize and solve miscommunications. Students are unbelievably motivated to learn as many of them come from places where school had to be paid for or there were no resources like computers and dry erase boards. Ultimately the classroom and students are about making learning fun and making a better future for all via knowledge and compassion
