In the area that I live, teach, and coach; soccer is culturally engrained in a large portion of our population. As the soccer coach, I have used the opportunity to play for the school soccer team as a motivational tool to not only maintain better than average grades; but also as a means to keep students from dropping out of school, and reach graduation. As a low income area, the resources to purchase equipment necessary for proper training is limited. Having the ability to offer my students a chance to use new equipment, both during Physical Education class and soccer training sessions, will allow myself, and other teachers, more opportunities to continue tutoring and educating these students.

About my class
