Welcome to our class!! We are working towards a more child focused classroom where we meet the needs of each individual child. After sitting in an all day workshop in hard, stiff chairs, it dawned on me what we are expecting our children to do all day in school when we are teaching them valuable information. When you go into a coffee shop and people are set up throughout working diligently on lap tops and other mobile devices, no two are doing it exactly the same. Some are at tables, some on comfy chairs and couches. What if we provide these choices to our children? After much research, I have seen a trend in improvements in retention and application of skills taught for those who were offered flexible seating. I think our children deserve the very best and want to offer them choices not only in their seating, but in their education as well. Please help support us in our goal to get flexible seating for everyone! :)
