Since our classroom environment meets the needs of students in grades Kindergarten-5th grade at the same time, students crave a work space where they can be calm and focused. During independent work time, students are always asking to use noise cancelling headphones. When 1 set is the only option, how do you choose who uses them? A class set of noise cancelling headphones would allow ALL students access to them and encourage them to self monitor when THEY need them. The noise cancelling headphones seem like a simple tool, but one that yields great results. They are provide students the opportunity to be calm, focused, and work independently.
