These books will give my students choice in finding a "just right" chapter book to read from the first day of school. All of these chapter books have been chosen specifically with third grade interests in mind. Students need relevant, high interest chapter books to teach them how to gain stamina from reading picture books in one sitting to reading a chapter book over multiple days. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own reading level. The chapter books have been chosen at, above and below third grade standard reading levels. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. It's important from the first day of school that my students are offered a variety of high interest/varied reading level chapter books. My goal is for students to become lifelong readers, and these books will give them a great start!
