I currently teach at Denham Springs High School, in Denham Springs, LA. My school suffered significant damage due to the recent flooding in our area. My classroom took on about 3 feet of water. All of my teaching resources and supplies that were not submerged in flood water had to be discarded. Many of my students, approximately 70% of them had at least two feet or more of water in their homes. They too lost a number of their school supplies.
