These donations will afford my students fun, healthy, comfortable alternatives that will help keep them listening, writing, and researching while improving their balance and fitness. Adult businesses today are incorporating more ergonomic furniture into their workplace and my students would like to have the same opportunity. We have discovered that there are a variety of flexible seating choices available to help the them become more focused, comfortable, and productive throughout the day. Stability ball chairs, wobble stools, and wobble cushions will allow them to get in the movement they need and remain on task while using their core muscles and improving fitness. Children are not designed to sit around all day. With stability balls they will no longer relying on the back of their chair to keep them propped up. Instead they will need to engage their core, which of course will lead to an increase in core strength. Being sedentary is not helpful to a child's creativity or productivity, but the ability to move gets blood flowing and gives more oxygen to the brain, giving students greater productivity in their work day.
