The novel "Holes" will serve to guide my students through a variety of reading and writing concepts without readers getting bogged-down because the text is too difficult. The story will encourage students to write because they care about the content in the story, and it will inspire further reading. This novel will be a platform for students to learn argumentative writing. Students will get to experience a good story that will allow for opportunities of growth in their own writing and independent reading. Different discussion techniques to encourage interest will be built around this novel and brought into the classroom. This novel will encourage students to lead their own discussions in an academic setting.

About my class
