The 7th grade students at Adelante will be taking the Physical Fitness Exam in April 2017. Exercising, Running and Agility will be tested. This exam requires our students to complete push ups and sit ups with accuracy and the amount completed. The area in which our students work out is not leveled- causing tiny rocks and gravel to seep into their hands as they struggle to complete the set ups and push ups. Our project is to provide yoga mats for each student. My grant will allow our students the mats needed to improve and hone in on their skills. Our objective is for each student to do well in April. My intent is to instruct and encourage our students to build stamina, interest, desire and improve their physical state of well being.
