Most of my 3/4th grade students are second language learners who come from low socio-economic households. However, they work hard to achieve academic success. They try to understand at grade level the textbooks that were written for native English speakers, and succeed at standardized tests at their grade level even if they are beginner or intermediate in their English proficiency. I would like to provide visual models whenever possible using a document camera in my class.
