Currently, my students are sitting on carpet that is used, old, and ugly. It is not welcoming. I plan on using this bright, inviting, and cozy rug to entice my children to enjoy listening to all genres of literature. Very soon, Daily 5 stations will begin. My students will be visiting my classroom library during Read-to-Self station. They will have the option to choose a spot in the classroom to read their good-fit books. Having a pleasant rug would make my classroom cozy and students would feel compelled to read. I want to give my students an opportunity to snuggle up, lay, and read for the mere joy of it!
