The requested playhouses will create a wonderful play world for my students, who are ages 3-5. Right outside the two preschool classrooms is a spacious fenced play yard. However, our play yard is currently empty and I am forced to be creative adapting PE equipment intended for the older grade levels to use with our preschoolers. Funding this project will give playhouses to preschool students year after year, as the lifespan of the playhouse is well over ten years! Engaging in developmentally appropriate and familiar activities using the play house, play kitchen and play boat will give these children authentic opportunities to interact and engage with peers through imaginary play.
