Thank you for looking at my Donor's choose page! I am the 7th & 8th grade social studies teacher in an urban district K-8 public school. I teach American history with the U.S. Constitution being the highlight of the 7th grade year and the causes and later the aftermath of the Civil War in 8th grade. As important as this content is, the key to successfully reaching my students is finding strategies to help my students develop an interest in the subject on an ongoing basis. That is among the true challenges of education today. I am also busy after school as I am the advisor to the chess club, yearbook and student council. I am also the teacher who plans the annual trips to either Boston or N.Y.C. in the fall and a multi-day trip to either Washington, D.C. or Philadelphia each spring. It is going to be another exciting school year!
