In our classroom we do experiments and projects. We sing songs and tell stories.We learn through projects and hands-on learning experiences. We learn through movement and we learn through being active. The materials I am requesting are going to not only provide more space in our room for activities but will also incorporate movement as the children are learning. Students will be able to choose their seating, giving them the most comfortable learning environment for them. They will be excited to learn and given the space and abilities to learn depending on their individual needs and learning styles. The elastic bands will allow them to move while they are working which has been researched and proven to increase engagement and cognitive levels in the brain. The activity tables will allow us to fold down for cooperative learning groups and collaboration and fold up when we need space to be active in our learning. The variety of seating and the open space will make learning fun and exciting and will help children want to come to school to learn. The supplies will also give them the space and ability to learn while they are playing. Please help give us the environment we need to experience learning.
