These materials will open the minds of young learners and give them endless possibilities of learning at their fingertips. Tablets are easier for them to maneuver than computers and more accessible. The iPad will be used by the teacher to administer state testing and make lessons more interactive, using a projector and dongle, to make the whiteboard come alive. The kindles will be used to help my nonverbal students show mastery of the skills by having them demonstrate on one of our three programs, Imagine learning, ST Math and Raz Kids. They will also be able to access learning apps on the tablets that will supplement the learning of phonemic awareness and segmentation as well as learn numbers and number sense. The headphones allow them to here the audio of these tablets while maintaining a quiet, conducive learning environment.
The endless numbers of apps that are out there for learning will increase the success rate of my inclusive classroom by having the technology to reach every kind of learner, through hands on, engaging apps that will give them the faucets to apply what they have learned through direct instruction, discovery, and play.
