Hi there! My name is Ms. Call and I work at a behavior school Miley Achievement Center in Las Vegas for students with emotional and behavioral disorders. These students are sent here because they have the most intense emotional and behavioral needs in our school district. Many of them come from low income homes and some are even homeless. All of them have experienced severe trauma that affect their every day lives. Their backgrounds and disabilities make it hard for them to regulate their emotions and behaviors. Many times during the school day they experience emotional breakdowns and outbursts that are beyond their control. Despite their emotional and social difficulties, they come to school ready to learn and to be loved by the most consistent people in their lives: their teachers. Unfortunately, our school does not receive the resources and support it so desperately needs. Please consider helping us!
