I teach 6 math classes, 3 of them are pre-algebra. I am a brand new teacher and came into a classroom with little supplies. I only found four working calculators which is not enough for my students to share efficiently. They need at least 15 so they can share in pairs. Calculators are too expensive to ask parents to purchase them. In 7th grade they begin to start learning how to use calculators appropriately. These calculators will be used daily by almost all the students. It shows them their value when we have nice supplies which they can use. Right Now, we just need Calculators! It is difficult to engage these students in 21 century learning when they don't even have calculators. Help me provide the best education for these children!
