All of the items I am requesting will be used daily in the classroom. The pencils will be used to write in journals, complete question and answer activities and for overall printing practice. The scissors and glue will be used to complete cut and paste activities such as sequencing events in a story, matching sounds to letters and for special art projects. Dry erase markers are used during both Math and Literacy. The children will use the markers on whiteboards to draw the correct number, sequence numbers or add and subtract sets of numbers. The markers are also used to review sight words. The children will print the correct word based on the clues given or use the sight word in a sentence. The carpet is a an important part of building a community through the use of a gathering space.
