I am passionate about French & want my students to be able to speak & write in French with confidence and understand when reading & listening to the language. I want them to know that the language and culture are vibrant & real. A strong goal is that they develop a sense of appreciation for French culture and the ability to compare & contrast our 2 cultures . By doing this, in our own way we will help the alliance between our 2 countries to continue. I also open their eyes to the entire Francophone world. French is spoken on 5 continents-- many countries in Africa speak French so we , develop knowledge and appreciation for all parts of Francophonie. Teenagers love music, so we learn songs in French -- study the lyrics and discuss the meaning. We bring French teens in for homestays in the summer and travel when we can to French-speaking places.Un grand merci for helping me help them make the world a better place!
