The 9th grade students here at our school will use these textbooks in daily composition practice. We will learn to use correct punctuation and word choice, and we will learn to vary sentence structure. As a result of the lessons in this book, students will be able to use words to communicate their thoughts more effectively than ever before. The daily use of this book in my lessons will empower my students, breaking barriers by allowing them to see themselves in careers that would otherwise be intimidating without the confidence of strong writers. Their expected growth will not only prepare them to better and more easily edit and revise formal pieces composed in their current classes, but will also prepare them for the SATs and for the level of writing expected in college and their careers.
