"Comfort is king," that's the saying right? When students are comfortable and safe in their learning environment they are able to focus and be more productive. During the COVID19 pandemic, students have lost comfort in their classrooms in exchange for sterile spaces. I want to be more than just an inviting space but a safe haven at school. Currently, my students have traditional desks in their classroom. I would love for you to partner with me to give them flexible seating options. Flexible seating options will allow my students the opportunity to have choice in their learning environment. Bar top tables enable students to stand if they would prefer to work while standing and add bar stools to sit if needed. Wobble cushions stimulate students in their traditional desks while they learn. Balance boards allow for students who need to move to do so without distracting others. Lastly, a floor mat will allow students who prefer to sit on the floor a comfortable seating area These students have had very little control in their learning environments the last two years and allowing them choice in their seating will encourage a safe and comfortable space.
