These materials will be utilized in the classroom to assist the students in learning. The laptop will be used in the technology/listening center where students can write their own stories and also go on research based educational sites to practice reading skills. It will also be used to help my low level students listen to stories and practice sight word recognition. The power pens and comprehension cards will be used as a center activity to help build reading comprehension with my at-risk students. These students scored well below their grade level. It is important that they increase their reading comprehension skills and become fluent readers.
