What better way to have kids learn about mechanical principals than letting them play with Legos? I will give them instructions of how to build motor vehicles out of Legos. We will run them down ramps to test properties of friction, speed, velocity, slope, and we will crash them! With these kits I can give each kid Legos to play with so they do not have to watch someone else do it. Students will also create their own structures to test design and they will learn through hands on experimentation which structures work best Student engagement will be high. Who doesn't like playing with Legos?
