These materials will make a huge difference in our daily cooking activities in the classroom. We currently have very old cookware with many pieces missing or broken. Students will have safe cookware to practice cooking their own meals in the classroom as well as measuring, mixing, and serving. My students have moderate to severe disabilities and aren't always able to express their wants and needs but if they have access to a kitchen with food, they will be able to make their own food and not depend on another person, especially at this age. Meals will be simple and less than 5 ingredients and will yield enough for leftovers for another person or a second meal.
