My students would love to read current articles from a magazine. They would love to flip through the magazine, debate topics, read the plays, and participate in group activities that SCOPE provides. This would give my students a break from their everyday text and prove to them reading is fun and beneficial. SCOPE would provide my students with endless possibilities in meeting Common Core Standards, but meet their goals in an enjoyable fun way. My students have never had the chance to use a colorful bright magazine as a tool to engage in reading. Scope provides endless possibilities in helping my at risk students find enjoyment in reading while gaining great skills.
