The LeapFrog Early Reading Series provides advanced phonics in an interactive learning capacity. In my classroom the pens will be used during whole group instruction to practice phonics skills as the teacher is teaching a lesson. This will also allow students to be engaged and participate in Kagan Structures. Additionally, the pens will be used in small group instruction and learning centers to promote early literacy skills and print concepts. For example, they will practice printing letters, numbers and their first name. These pens will also serve as a motivational tool to enrich a literacy rich environment. Any donations to this project will be greatly appreciated.
