An Elmo is not only a cartoon character, it is a document camera. My kindergartners love listening to books and often what I hear is, "Mrs. F., I can't see!" With an Elmo document camera, I could display any book, writing sample, math manipulative, social studies or science experiment on my Smartboard and it would be visible to all students. My kindergartners are learning to become readers and writers and having an Elmo document camera would allow me to provide students with clear visual models during literacy, math, science and social studies that they would otherwise not be able to experience due to lack of technology.
