Apple iPads will be used by the students to improve literacy skills in reading and writing. The students will be able to work independently or in small groups using specific applications or the digital textbook resource, depending on the specific need of each student. The students will also be able to use the iPads to log the progress being made. This data can be shared digitally with the teacher and their parents, therefore, immediate feedback will be received by the student. By using 21st century technology, the students will be more engaged in their learning. Most middle school students are motivated by the use of technology. I foresee this being a hit in the classroom, therefore, showing great gains in student achievement!
