The students have to master various math and reading skills by the end of the year. They are tested on these skills monthly during a one on one session with the teacher. The students also have to be able to write 8 sentences and read at a D level. The technology that I wish for will help them practice and master the skills they need in Kindergarten. I also feel that exposing the students to technology daily and how to use it will build towards life skills that every child needs in the modern world. I hope for every child to benefit from the technology and to see improvements monthly on their skills tests. Students will be given use of the LeapFrog tablets and programs during their daily center time to help them practice and improve their reading and math skills in a exciting way. That is 15 minutes of extra practice time for each student each day! The LeapFrog tablets can even be used during intervention time to help get all of my students on grade level. I cannot wait to see all of the excited faces in my room when we get to open our box of classroom goodies.
