Giving my students the opportunity to work on iPads in small groups would help them in areas such as letter name recognition, letter sound fluency, phonemic awareness and sight word recognition as well as developing strong number sense. I would help them gain confidence in their abilities and develop an "I can do it!" growth mindset. This technological tool would help give my kindergartners a strong mastery of basic concepts, increase academic levels ands let them have fun all at the same time. Let's face it, these days, students are eager to get their hands on technology and are willing to take big academic risks with those devices if given the opportunity. With your generous donation, I will be able to improve my ability to teach my kindergarten students by building a strong classroom full of actively engages learners.
