Students love dissections. They are able to dive into learning about biology through examining specimens. One of the dissections involve taking a closer look at a squid. Students will be placed in groups and dissect and pin the specimen. Students will have to diagram the squid and label the correct organs. Students learn a lot about how squids function by looking at a dissected squid. Dissections also give students scientific skills for collaboration and critical thinking skills. Students will color their diagrams and discuss their findings. Dissections are essential to learning high school biology. These necessary supplies will help foster learning.
