This carpet will enable students to sit comfortably and enjoy read alouds and countless other group activities. There are enough squares for each student to have their own designated space while seated on the carpet. While on the carpet students will share in listening and reading stories, interacting with their teacher and peers, playing math and literacy games and sharing their independent writing. By donating to this project, you will not only contribute to the building of a literacy rich classroom but the students' focus and attention will improve as they are able to be more comfortable on a large, colorful carpet. The language and literacy shared on our special reading carpet will be a treasure in our classroom as students will have a comfortable spot to enjoy literacy.
