It has been proven time and time again that most children retain more information and think critically when they are active! Implementing a flexible seating design in my classroom gives my students another tool for success. I firmly believe that as educators we must meet our students where they are at, and by allowing them to choose where they learn best each day student will have opportunities to think deeper, work harder, and learn that they have ownership of their own success! Classrooms that are student-centered are successful. This project will change the whole environment of my classroom. My students don't always have the same opportunities as other students and it is my goal to give them every opportunity to be successful and know that despite their difficult life circumstances, they are worthy of every opportunity! Having choices and variety in where the students sit will not only teach them about themselves, but will give them a chance to be their best self every day! The bean bag chairs and soft cushion seats will support learners that have trouble sitting on hard surfaces, the wobble stools and therapy balls will support learners that need movement while learning!
