My students use the problem based learning and the Inquiry based Learning strategy to explore concepts in class, which allows students to collaborate often on assignments and projects. Students are often asked to present their findings and understanding on paper and in a formal presentation. More than half of my students do not have access to a computer or printer outside my classroom. Having a printer will allow students to complete their assignments or projects in class without having to worry where they can go to print. The STEM kits and a printer will allow students to explore and understand difficult concepts such as newton laws of motion, plate tectonics and topography, while printing their findings on a computer. The printer allows for students to use their technology skills to present their findings from scientific investigations in a professional manner.
