Did you ever have a teacher who made class so engrossing that you got "tricked into learning"? I did, which was the reason I wanted to become a teacher. In my humble opinion, language teachers have a unique opportunity to make their class a fun break in the students' day. I love that my students are so engaged in the subject, but it pains me to hear, "Mademoiselle, comment dit-on..." (How do you say...) and not be able to let them look the word up for themselves. Because we are a charter school, funding is scarce. This would be a great opportunity to give the kids a little something extra in their language acquisition.
