For our year long unit, we are taking a deep dive into several different novels. Due to our budget, the students are receiving photo copies of the books rather than the actual text. Giving them the actual text allows them to become more engaged in the story, and really get that special feeling of opening a brand new book for the first time. The students' faces lit up when they realized I was able to give them their own copy of Esperanza Rising, and my wish is that I can do that in every unit. My scholars deserve that, and so much more. The scholars thank you in advance for giving them this joy!
