I am requesting three sets of Makey Makey circuit kits. We currently have a magnetism and electricity science unit, where students create simple circuits. The Makey Makeys will allow students to take their understanding to a much deeper level. Each of these hands-on sets will connect to a computer, allowing students explore objects that are electrical conductors and complete circuits using them. Students can use objects that conduct an electrical current to perform different tasks, creating banana pianos, paper video game controllers, and more. Eventually students can use Arduino (a simple form of programming software) to program their circuits to do more specialized tasks. Your donation to our project will provide students with the opportunity to extend their knowlenge of circuits to include basic programming.
