If my project is funded my students academic lives will be improved. They will be exposed to many different books with the free app Epic. Teachers get a free subscription to thousands of books on this app. This will help to close the gap of the amount of books students are exposed to and the amount of books research suggests children be exposed to. Families in my town often work 2 jobs to provide for their family and return home so late their children are sleeping. This creates a disadvantage for those students being exposed to books. The iPad will help close that gap since students will be able to use it daily.
