These Chromebooks can improve the whole dynamic of our Health class. I can plan more interactive lessons, instead of making students read out of their outdated textbooks. My students enjoy watching video clips about the health topics we cover in class. They also use these laptops to take quizzes, submit assignments, do research, and create presentations. Students also enjoy playing interactive learning games which require technology.
Adding four Chromebooks to my classroom would "level the playing field," so to speak, in terms of technology. This way, students will not have to experience this technology gap brought on by some student's inability to own some type of personal device.
Some students are forced to rely on the technology that is supplied by the school. Since we have no chromebooks or computers available to students in my Health class, some students may feel left out at times when we are playing interactive activities because they do not have their own cellphone or IPads to use. Having Chromebooks in my classroom could eliminate these situations!
