Each item is something I would like to incorporate starting that very first day of school. You will notice a lot of building sets and manipulatives in this list. I would like to use my morning time for morning tubs: a time for students to work in small groups to encourage social play, STEM engagement, and collaboration in kindergarten. These skills are important but are often forgotten. The morning tubs idea will replace basic morning work worksheets and allow students to socialize, engage, and grow as children need to. There are also basic classroom fundamentals in my cart, as I am new to teaching kindergarten and am lacking many classroom organizers, tools, and resources. I want to spend my time wisely with these students and be as prepared as I can be from the first day until summer break! The adjustable chart stand will allow my students to lead whole group, as well as morning meetings. These can hold calendar time, social skills stories or chart paper for lessons.
