My classroom is an inviting place that encourages literacy gains for all students. I teach fifth grade, however I have many students who read from the Kindergarten level to above 6th grade. It is important to keep a classroom library that is diverse. I have one class that is an comprised of students who are learning the English language. It is especially important to have books for these students, as they are often just arriving in the United States from the after effects of natural disasters. These students come with a desire to learn, no matter what language barrier is present.
