Distance learning has been no walk in the park for anyone. A lot of my students come from harsh living situations and struggle to concentrate during distance learning. By providing the teacher with a Macbook laptop, you are enhancing the teacher's ability to move around the classroom to provide a more welcoming experience. The Macbook provides a better microphone system and an enhanced camera that allows for a clearer picture. Make my students feel like they are in their happy place. As the country is struggling to come back from this pandemic, my students are looking for the positivity in the world. By being able to roam around my classroom with this device, I give my students the opportunity to feel a little more sense of normalcy. They will be able to see our focus wall, math wall and reading corner. Having a clearer camera will allow for a better experience with read alouds and will help keep them more engaged. Being able to see the anchor charts and the change of scenery will make my students feel almost as if they were in school. Having a Macbook will also allow me to work better from home. In case I need to teach from home, I know I will have a reliable device that I could still connect to. This alleviates the stress of the struggles of working from home. Help give these 1st graders the best experience distance learning has to offer.
