The headphones will help in my class by allowing my students to have access to computer programs at all times during the day and not interfering with the other children who are learning. Our class is an ICT classroom with two teachers a general education teacher and a special education teacher as well as 32 children with a variety of learning styles. These headphones would help keep the noise level down as well as engage the students in meaningful activities. The students will be able to build upon their sight vocabulary, improve their listening skills and be exposed to a variety of story structures as well as work on math skills independently. While other children are learning in small groups. The donations will help improve my classroom by allowing my students to listen to math and phonics on the computer. Since I have many ELL students and many nonreaders, they will be able to learn new vocabulary and listen to good interpretive reading. Listening to audiobooks teaches critical listening skills, introduces new genres, and invites students to listen to books above their level. This also will help them in math as well to work and practice skills taught in the group to build on fluency.
