The requested iPads, LEGOS, and video light kits enable my students to collaborate by writing a script based on characters from Ancient Greece, design sets, and film stop-action videos of their creation. Understanding the stories of Ancient Greece broadens student understanding of world social and ethical themes. By understanding the stories of ancient civilizations, students see parallels in their world. Students have been separated by at-home learning, and are now ready to work together to learn about Ancient Greece and then create a movie based on their learning. Strong social skills and team-based cooperation skills are all developed while students learn and create a viable, satisfying product - their own movie!
