Our school is an K-8th grade charter school that is committed to enriching the minds and character of our amazing students. Last year, our school started a morning news channel developed by our innovative 5th grade students with great success. This year we will continue to enrich the program by bring our middle schoolers into the project through an elective course. The morning news channel is our student's chance to express themselves through their creativity and critical thinking skills. It is our goal to develop presentation skills and public speaking abilities that will help them with future endeavors. It also gives them the opportunity to make a positive impact on our school community. This channel has the ability to connect our entire school community. We share important announcements, events and information with the entire student body. It is our goal to spread our schools ideas of character and kindness. We are excited to continue the channel, but this year we are seeking to elevate the student's experience through the use of technology, especially with the use of an iPad. This iPad will give students the opportunity to film, edit, and audio record all on one device for our news channel. So help us get the camera rolling for the start of a great journey.
