Playing the ukulele allows my students to experience the joy of learning a new instrument. The process of learning a new instrument is not only musical beneficial to students; it also teaches them how to set and goals and work hard to achieve those goals. My students also Learn the importance of individual practice and how to be self sufficient. These are all skills that will be beneficial to them in other classes outside of music as well as in their future endeavors. However, many of my ukuleles have been well loved over the years and are no longer playable. I no longer have enough funds to provide enough instruments for every student in my class to play. Therefore, I am asking for outside financial assistance to help keep this successful and rewarding opportunity for my students alive.
