Welcome to Mr. Fell's Science Class! I teach middle school Life Sciences with an emphasis on equity, social justice and environmental stewardship. This year I have five 7th grade classes with a total of 175 students, as well as an after school program that is a student interest driven exploration of science and engineering. The class photo is of the fundraiser my students created last year. From concept to creation, they made seed bombs (a sphere of clay, compost and flower seeds) and sold them in lunch bags with shredded homework as packing material. While this fundraiser was a wonderful experience and teaching tool, the money raised is only effective for covering consumable materials. Our classroom needs new equipment, and although my students are quite adept at "making do" with the obsolete and worn, they shouldn't have to.
