My students are living and going to school in an environment that is challenged with gang violence, poverty and hopelessness. Much to my joy and amazement, my students not only show up each day, but they want to be successful and go on to college. They need extra support academically. They also need supplies. They are an amazing group of young adults and my world is better, my heart beats stronger simply from being on this journey with them.
