I'm a 2nd Grade teacher in Colorado. My favorite part of teaching is building a community of learners in my classroom. When my students feel loved and safe, they are willing to take risks, make mistakes and learn from each other. Social Emotional learning has become such an important part of my instruction and I focus on empowering my students to understand their own learning styles and to advocate for themselves within the classroom. I feel so lucky to work with 2nd graders because they teach me so much every year! I love my job so much!!
