My students need white boards because they will be used almost everyday in class for reading, writing, and math. With each student having a white board it is easier for me to see what they are doing and who needs extra help. We can practice our letters, sounds, and math sentences all while working together on the carpet. It's also a great way to allow my students to move around and learn in different settings, no Kindergartner wants to stay at their seat and do pencil/paper work all of the time. The white boards are a fun learning experience we can all enjoy. This year our art and music class was cut from our school. The art supplies will be used in our classroom to make up for the creativity time they will loose by not going to art class. I strongly believe that art and music are very important for a child to experience and I hope to be able to incorporate it into my classroom lessons as much as possible.
